Patrick Joosten is a French contemporary abstract artist.
His work develops through processes of construction, disruption and erasure. Painting is approached as a field of transformation where gesture, material and structure operate in continuous dialogue.
The studio process is guided by experimentation and controlled unpredictability.
His practice is rooted in gestural abstraction and material exploration. Fragmentation, chromatic tension, spatial modulation and layered surfaces define a visual language focused on perception and structural complexity rather than representation.
