The sand is pure and white like an ice floe, but in this juxtaposition of sea and sand there is a feeling of tranquility, as if the world were melting away in the gentle heat of the sun.
With “Summertime”, Joosten creates a world of contrasts and changing destinies, a frozen landscape giving way to warmth, and a calm sea on the horizon.
